What is Feminism?

Everybody nowadays has their own perspective about feminism. As I know many women don’t know what is feminism, yeah everybody knows the definition of feminism but what is actually feminism. Some of the girls think that feminism is being like a man, and they do things like drinking, smoking etc, this is not feminism and some men think that why we should treat women specially. No, we don’t need special treatment, all we need is some respect and equal rights. So, guys according to you what is feminism.

    Feminism

Feminism doesn’t mean Women need to be treated specially, all they need is to be treated equally. Feminists today take an initiative step towards inequality among Men and Women, we are in 21st century, but still in some village’s women are not treated equal. considering how factors such as race and socioeconomic status affect women experiences in social systems. 

 

Feminism encouraged women to come together to share their struggles and harassment faced in their life’s as women. because those struggles reflect inequality in society. Women should be respected and treated well in this society. When we talk about Indian feminism, in India most of the feminist faced criticism while protesting for equality. Indian Women face certain obstacles in Indian society that are not present in Western society. We can’t blame anybody for this act. The change should start within us and within our family. first, we have to start treating our daughter and son equally so then we may notice change in the society.

 

    RISE YOUR VOICE 
        

In today’s scenario Our parents are scared to send us out because of men, who is harassing women for centuries. Women are facing this harassment every place they walk. They harass women in public places, such as streets and transport systems, remains a serious problem in many nations. So, women have to rise their voice against sexual harassment. Most of the women are ashamed to talk about sexual harassment because they are afraid that what people may think of them, this has to change in our society.

I don’t know what men think about women but women are not a play thing. Every day we here about women abuse and rape in every state and nation, this is the situation of this world and a woman is not safe anywhere in this world.

Women should get freedom from men; parents should take care of their son’s so that he would not go out and rape a woman or harass a girl. Instead of restricting a girl teach your son how to behave. see that he is not harassing a girl in collage or in a public transport. In India some parents don’t want a girl child why because they believe only a boy can take care of them, when they get old and a girl should not be educated more because it’s a waste of money. Yes, there are such people still in this century who think educating a girl child is waste of money. I respect the parents who support girl child and educate her and treat her equal with her brother.

Some people may think that women are harassed only when they come out of their house, no there are women, who are abused by their family, relatives and friends. So respective citizens please save girl child and respect women.
